Recipes of Homemade Cake Without Micro Oven
Cakes are really very tempting item not only for kids but also for adults. You need cake for various occasions such as birthday, Christmas etc. Cakes available in the market are not much healthy so it would be better if you bake a cake at home. You might think that baking a cake is hard and it cannot be baked without a micro oven. Here are some recipes of cake which could be baked at home very easily and without a micro oven.
Recipe 1: Chocolate Cake

For: 6-8 servings depending upon the size of the cake
Ingredient
- 50 biscuits, broken with hand
- 5 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 15-20 teaspoon sugar, powdered or grinded
- 2 teaspoon ghee, melted
- 3 cups milk, boiled
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Preparation
- Grind the biscuits until they are finely powdered.
- Now you should add sugar, ghee, cocoa powder, milk and baking powder consecutively in a mixing bowl and stir it continuously.
- You can apply a tiny mixture of maida and ghee to the sides of an iron or stainless steel plate.
- Then pour the mixture into it up to it's half.
- Pour 1 cm high water in a pressure cooker and set the plate.
- Remove the whistle from the pressure cooker and bake it on low flame for about 10 to 15 minutes until the upper part looks a bit bursting.
- Before you set it on the gas you can even add strong fruits (apple or strawberry not banana), nuts, and slightly bigger pieces of chocolate as they help to improve the flavour.
- You can even use them for decoration purpose. Strawberry would be a good option for decoration purpose.
- If you want to change the flavour of the cake then you can use any flavouring powder instead of cocoa powder.
Recipe 2: Spongy Cake
Ingredient
- 1 cup (140 grams) of all-purpose flour/Maida
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup (200 grams) of sugar
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) of milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (60ml) of oil
Preparation
- First break the eggs into a bowl and then add the sugar and the vanilla essence.
- Now beat the mixture until completely smooth. You can use an electric or hand beater and try to mix the ingredients well. The batter should be smooth and relatively thick.
- Next preheat the pressure cooker. Place the pressure cooker on medium heat and heat it for about 5 minutes.
- You should strain the flour with the help of the strainer. Place the flour into the strainer and then place the strainer over the bowl with the batter. Now gently strain the flour into the batter.
- You should fold the batter. Once you have poured the flour into the batter and gently fold the flour in.
- Fold the flour by sliding the spatula into the batter, then lifting it up (with the batter) and folding it over. You should continue to repeat this action until the ingredients are mixed to a smooth batter.
- Place a piece of parchment paper inside of the pressure cooker. You are going to pour the sponge cake batter directly into the pressure cooker for which you need to lay out a piece of parchment paper onto the bottom.
- Pour the batter into the pressure cooker. Once you have laid out parchment paper onto the bottom of the cooker, slowly pour in the cake batter. Then cover your pressure cooker and reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Cook the cake for 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes, take a toothpick and stick it into the cake to see if it is fully cooked. If the toothpick comes out dry, the cake is ready. If the toothpick comes out wet, leave the cake in the cooker for another 5 minutes. Then check again.
- Keep in mind that cooking time is reduced when using a pressure cooker.
- Turn off the heat and uncover the cooker. Then, leave the cake in the pressure cooker for about 5 minutes. After five minutes, cover your cooker with a plate and flip the appliance.
- Cut the cake into slices. Remove the parchment paper from the cake. Top with some powdered sugar, if desired, and enjoy it!
